Peer Review Process

REVIEW OF ARTICLES

We ask authors to suggest at least three possible reviewers to asses their manuscript.

1. The editor team has the responsibility of receiving the articles and issuing a first judgment on their suitability for the topics covered by the journal, then the formal aspects, as well as rejecting an article if it does not comply with the basic instructions for review or does not have sufficient scientific and academic merit.

2. After that the Editor will send the anonymous article to three suggested reviewers, who will carry out their evaluation in accordance with previously-created guidelines. The reviewers must reject or accept (with or without comments) an article. In the event of rejection, the grounds for that decision must be given. The article is then returned to the author with the pertinent observations. If reviewers do not answer in three months we will ask you for new reviewers.

3. The reviewers must verify whether all formal aspects have been met (according to the evaluation guidelines), and must also check that the conclusions are in accordance with the methodological design described and the objectives set. The reviewers  will not know the identity of the authors, or the authors that of the reviewers (double blind review).

4. The Editor will use the first two reviews to decide about the situation of the manuscript.

5. If observations are made, either minor or intermediate, and if the article is accepted, the Editor will contact the author to suggest the changes indicated in a period of one month. Once these changes have been made, the article will be ready for publication. Once publication has been accepted, no change of author/s is permitted.

6. If the article is not accepted by at least two reviewers, it will definitely be rejected and this decision will be communicated to the author and the corresponding review sent.

7. If the article is rejected by one reviewer and accepted by a second, the editor will wait for a third or fourth reviewer results to decide, and then the decission will be communicated to contact author.

8. If submission is not totally fullfiled, we will send two email via OJS, if author does not answer, then we send last manual email (15 days due). If author does not answer then we assume there is no interest in publishing with us and the submission will be archived.
