Outstanding Paper Award 2022

The eligibility criteria of papers selected by the Editorial Board considered some aspects such as: papers that provide a significant contribution to the state-of-the-art or understanding in a particular field, originality, clarity, and accuracy in writing, and overall impact (amount of citations/date of publication). 

Nomination and selection procedures

The eligible papers could be from one of the following: (i) Volume 21, Issue 1, 2022; (ii) Volume 21, Issue 2, 2022; or (iii) Volume 21, Issue 3, 2022. Considering that the time since publication influences citation accrual—since older papers typically tend to gather more citations—a normalization score has been calculated based on the release date of each issue (i.e., 1, 2, or 3) within Volume 21 in 2022.

Outstanding paper award 2022:
