This study presents, for the first time, part of the archive material of the Chilean-French writer Mauricio Wacquez (1939-2000) found at Princeton University. In this research structured from genetic criticism, a genetic study dossier has been established that is analyzed together with the published versions of the most representative novels by this writer. Thanks to the study and analysis of the material, this article postulates that the novels Frente a un hombre armado (1982) and Epifanía de una sombra (2000) share the same scriptural genesis.
